SportsMED is proud to recognize our 2007 graduates:
Lorenzo Love, Jr. graduated from J.O.
Johnson High School. Commencement Exercises were
held Friday, May 25th.
Dustin N. Adair, part-time employee,
graduated from Virgil J. Grissom High School. Commencement
Exercises were held Friday, May 25th.
Courtney Alicia Kennemore, a part-time
employee, has graduated from Dillard University in New
Orleans, Louisiana. On May 19th she received a Bachelor
of Science in Biology and Chemistry. She will be
attending Tulane University, in the fall, pursuing a degree
in pharmacology. Her mother, Pamela B. Kelly, is
also an employee of SportsMED.
Congratulations to all of these graduates!

Whistle Stop Festival & Rocket
City BBQ Cook-Off
Date: May 4th and 5th
Location: The Historic Huntsville Depot
Hosted by The EarlyWorks Museum Complex, the Alabama Constitution
Village Foundation and the Kansas City BBQ Society, this
event raises revenue for the Alabama Constitution Village
Foundation to better serve area students at the Early Works
museums while promoting tourism in Huntsville. Actually,
in 2006, 49% of the foundation’s revenue was generated
by the BBQ event! SportsMED was excited to be a sponsor
and participate in the 2007 festival. For more information

Scholarship Fund Run, April
7, 2007
SportsMED was proud to provide a donation to the Scholarship
Fund Run held April 7, 2007. Proceeds from the race
benefit the Harold and Louise Tinsley Scholarship Fund. The
purpose of this fund is to award scholarships to outstanding
high school graduates who are members of the Huntsville
Track Club (HTC) and intend on participating in intercollegiate
track or cross country competition at the college or university
of their choice. For more information about the scholarship

2007 Chili Challenge & Silent
Auction

Chili Challenge & Silent Auction. The funds raised
at this event will allow Habitat for Humanity of Jackson
County the ability to build simple, decent, affordable

a live chat on Channel 19
Dr. Eric Janssen will be answering
questions on "Sports Injuries" on a live
chat on Channel 19 Thursday, March 15 from
5:30-6:30pm. Questions can be directed to www.whnt.com.
Dr. Janssen will also be interviewed live during Channel
19's 5pm newscast about Sports Injuries and how they
effect male and female athletes differently.

Pacesetters
Dr. Cobb Alexander has
fulfilled the requirements of the Rules and Regulations
of the Southern Orthopaedic Association. He is now
a member effective May 1, 2007.
SportsMED welcomes Dr. Robert L. Hash to the physician
staff as of January 2007. Dr. Hash is a member
of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, as well
as, numerous other professional associations, and specializes
in Degenerative Spine, Spine Trauma, and Complex Spine
